From February 24 to March 02, 2008, in Ha Noi, meetings on regional financial cooperation among ASEAN nations and Eastern Asian nations including Japan, China, Korea (ASEAN + 3) took place. These meetings concentrated on main points of  financial cooperation activities in ASEAN and ASEAN + 3 region to prepare for 12th ASEAN Finance Ministers Meeting (AFMM) and ASEAN + 3 Finance Ministers Meeting hosted by Vietnam Finance Minister which is expected to take place in early April, 2008 in Da Nang city, Vietnam and May, 2008 in Spain.

At the meeting, delegations will discuss on 6 main subjects:

- To open financial service market inside ASEAN bloc and to partners outsite ASEAN such as Australia, New Zealand;

- To check and set plan of boosting bonds market development in Asia;

- To consolidate regime on economic supervision in ASEAN and Eastern Asia;

- To acquire constructive opinions of researchers to further develop programs of regional financial cooperation;

- Model and plan of setting up regional financial tool so as to support payment balance;

- To make infrastructure funding policy.
